Genotyping Project Lead

Mission:The Genotyping Project Lead is in charge of conducting genotyping research on our corn and sunflower product development programs. He is responsible for designing and implementing genotyping strategies to support our breeding programs and product teams demands.

He is collaborating with our R&D teams to identify and prioritize genetic targets and support trait discovery program for the whole R&D program.

Key Responsabilities:

- Develop and implement genotyping strategies for scaling and optimizing workflows
- Lead cross functional project team in conducting genotyping research on corn and sunflower product development programs.
- Collaborate with research and development teams to identify and prioritize genetic targets for breeding programs.
- Engage strategically with partners to identify new opportunities for the labs, provide input on lab capabilities/resources and understand the business needs to drive the necessary changes;
- Analyze and interpret genotyping data to support breeding decisions.
- Communicate results and recommendations to internal stakeholders (within MAS Seeds) and external partners.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure project success.
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends and advancements in genotyping technology.
- Profil:PhD in Genetics, Molecular Biology, Plant Breeding, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in genotyping research in a seed breeding industry or academic research environment.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement genotyping strategies to support breeding programs.
- Experience leading and managing research teams.
- Experience with bioinformatics tools and databases
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
