**Position Overview**
We are looking for a **Network Team Leader** with a strong technical foundation and proven leadership experience to take full ownership of network operations in highly critical environments. This role is pivotal to ensuring the stability, performance, and security of sensitive systems, including large-scale European infrastructures. It requires both hands-on expertise and operational management capabilities.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead and coordinate daily network operations, ensuring service continuity and compliance with SLA/OLA commitments.
- Act as the main escalation point for high-severity incidents, driving rapid resolution and minimizing system impact.
- Manage and mentor a team of network engineers, fostering skills development and operational excellence.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis in complex, multi-vendor environments.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders, providing regular updates, technical insights, and improvement recommendations.
- Ensure strict adherence to ITIL processes, including Incident, Problem, Change, and Capacity Management.
- Support audits, security assessments, and compliance checks related to network infrastructure.
**Required Skills & Experience**
- Strong hands-on expertise in enterprise networking: routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, load balancing, WAN optimization.
- Proven experience managing mission-critical infrastructures in 24/7 environments.
- Deep knowledge and certification in Check Point (CCSA/CCSE, ideally CCSM).
- Additional certifications in Cisco (CCNP/CCIE), Fortinet (NSE), Palo Alto, or Juniper are highly valued.
- Experience with network monitoring, automation tools, and high-availability architectures.
- Familiarity with ITIL v4 and operational service management practices.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience with large-scale European IT programs or systems such as EES.
- Security clearance (EU-level) for sensitive environments.
- Familiarity with hybrid cloud networking and SD-WAN technologies.

NET, ) as well as highly specialized experts for example in cybersecurity or in Content Management System (CMS) (SharePoint, Drupal, WebLogic ).
In terms of non-technical competencies, ABAKUS IT-SOLUTIONS hires dynamic persons, open to the world, interested by innovation and having a keen sense of client relationship.
A very good command of English is essential, the capacity to speak French, German or Dutch is an asset.
Even though most of our positions require at least 3 years of experience, some are open to new starters.
