Financial Accountant

**Job Description**:
**MAIN MISSIONS**

Within the Accounting team, you will report to the Accounting Manager. You will oversee the accounting of reinsurance companies (insurance chart of accounts) as well as service & management companies (General COA) and, support in accounting projects and internal control topics.

1) Production and support of the statutory accounts and IFRS package of reinsurance companies (PCA), in collaboration with the PBR team) on MAGNITUDE software, as well as statutory accounts of service & management companies (PCG):

- Collection, identification and booking of provisions and accruals entries for the quarterly closings of each entity;
- Preparation of annual statements (annual report, management report and appendices to the statutory accounts);
- Production of IFRS accounts for each quarterly closing and complete some schedules for Magnitude Calculation of Deferred Taxes
- Direct contact with the external auditors.

2) Collaboration with the Central Accounting Services (CAS) team (based in United Kingdom) in charge of accounting records and the management of day-today operations:

- Accounts payable and expense reports: control invoices records, identify and monitor fixed assets, quarterly analytical review of management expenses (in collaboration with Financial Control);
- Accounts receivable: issue, record and monitor invoices (in collaboration with the Financial Control);
- Treasury: control bank entries records and reconciliations, cash flows monitoring,
- Auxiliary systems reconciliations with our accounting tool PeopleSoft.
- Responsible of the follow-up and the accuracy of the accounting operations booked by the CAS team, you will have exchanges with teams abroad.

3) Tax calculation and submissions:

- Production of consolidated tax packages (CEGIDTAX) and tax packages for French tax authority.
- Calculation of taxes and duties: IS, VAT, CVAE, CFE, C3S, DAS2 etc including handling of respective timetables.

4) Support/Lead in projects (implementation and change)
- Support the accounting manager in Hermes project (change of accounting system): assist in workshops and deliveries for the setup of new accounting system
- Ensure the implementation of E-invoicing: define the needs according to tax regulation on this topic, be in contact with IT for the set-up of e-invoicing in accounting systems and processes, help in defining the future process change
- Assist in other potential Finance/Accounting projects
- Adapt or redesign work tools according to new systems

5) Assist in Internal Control and compliance
- Support in the review of yearly RCM (Risk Control Matrix) and Compliance checks for the accounting team
- Assist the Accounting manager in the IFC controls: implementation and documentation
- Handle the FATCA compliance survey for Group and ensure FATCA related documents are updated

**PROFILE**

**Education**:
Master Degree in Finance, Accounting, etc.

Competencies:

- You have between 2-3 years of experience on a similar position in the insurance industry;
- You have excellent knowledge of French and IFRS norms, accounting rules, that you acquired both through your degree and/ or your professional experience;
- You have a good knowledge of French taxes;
- You have a good knowledge of PCG and PCA (would be a plus);
- You are fluent in French and English, written and orally;
- You may know People Soft or S4/HANA;
- You are proficient in Excel;
- You are organized, autonomous and proactive in solutions finding, with the ability to meet deadlines.
