Our customers in the fields of astronomy, space, fusion, synchrotrons and defense are looking for manufacturers capable of supplying unique, highly complex components such as state-of-the-art optical components, instruments for observing the earth or the universe, or optoelectronic systems.

To meet this challenge, Bertin Technologies is expanding its machine park and strengthening its teams within the Bertin Photonics Division. So join us and become our new **System Engineer **

**Your Main Responsibilities**:

- System design: Develop complex systems and subsystems for space instruments, including optics, mechanics, thermal, electrical, onboard software and calibration.
- Systems integration: Supervise the integration of different subsystems to ensure their coherent operation
- Performance analysis: Evaluate system performance, identify potential malfunctions and propose solutions
- Testing and validation: Conduct tests under simulated conditions to guarantee the robustness of systems in space
- Technical interface management: Ensure the technical compatibility and overall smooth operation of subsystems.

**Profile**:
**Education**:

- Master degree in engineering, with a specialization in optics, mechanics, electronics, or a similar discipline is required.

**Technical skills**:

- In-depth knowledge of engineering processes (requirements management, verification, etc.)
- Mastery of requirements management tools.
- Experience in optics, mechanics or observation

**Cross-disciplinary skills**:

- Interdisciplinary coordination
- Critical and analytical thinking
- Stress management and problem solving
- Scientific rigor and analysis
