We are currently recruiting for a technically competent Leader who willmanage the VAT department and will be responsible for assisting with indirecttax risks and providing high level VAT advice to the business in our office in Paris.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide a high level of specialist technical support to your team.
- Focus on ensuring the team delivers on a high standard of EU VAT compliance services.
- Providing or assisting with the training of new and existing staff as required by Senior Managers.
- Provide technical support for filings, sales function and management, with respect to sales process etc.
- Carry out reviews of compliance work within the compliance team and review and monitor the technical performance of the team.
- Assist in development of compliance specific procedures and systems to improve efficiency.
- Assist with management of complex and large client accounts.
- Write articles for internal and external contacts.
- Build and maintain tax relationships with clients and provide high levels of client service.
- Build relationships both within ATG TAX GLOBAL and externally with clients, identifying opportunities and growing your network.
- Be involved in actively coaching and mentoring your team members.

**Essential skills, knowledge and experience**:

- EU VAT experience.
- Excellent communication skills in French and English.
- Ability to deliver training and presentations to large audiences.
- A strong technical background.
- Strong and motivated team player.
- Ability to identify areas of risk, carry out effective reviews and know when to escalate.
- Proven ability to analyse and create innovative solutions to problems.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
