The
**Account Manager** will handle the pharmaceutical excipients sales and business development in the region to our direct pharmaceutical customers. The incumbent in this role will be engaged in a variety of activities that include strategic account management and planning, profit management, joint value creation and complex project management in a medical and/or pharmaceutical environment.

**What the role will include**
- Foster a solutions-based, value selling culture with our regional customers and new targeted accounts
- Responsible for achieving targets for direct account sales revenue, volume, material margin and gross profit.
- Manage the development and effectiveness of joint value creation through understanding of unmet needs and aligning with Lubrizol LifeSciences’ global and regional market strategies,
- Develop, execute, and communicate a direct account strategy, which delivers long term year on year growth
- Develop a strong and positive reputation at the strategic accounts within the pharmaceutical market, through relationship management with key high level and multifunctional contacts.
- Continue to deliver and support innovation projects with Voice of the customer input for next generation product design.
- Assess/optimize channels to market.
- Regular communication to team members, internal partners and business management regarding business development, competition activity and market trends.

**We’re looking for someone who has.**
- Min Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, or Pharmacology
- Strong knowledge of the **life sciences market, specifically in pharmaceutical and/or nutraceutical markets**:

- Experience in managing large and complex multi-regional accounts
- Strong skills in implementing new product, solution, technology and value selling programs
- Demonstrated ability to think and act both tactically and strategically
- Strong negotiation, communication and presentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal abilities and strong drive for results
- Ability to work in a matrix organization and develop relationships with internal partners including customer service, supply chain, platform, marketing and research and development.
- Willingness and ability to travel about 50% of the time
