To this end, we are seeking an experienced Production Director who can join our team and help pave the way towards our new goals.
- Responsibilities
- Virtuos is always working on more and bigger exciting projects. With great projects, come great responsibility and our production team needs an exceptional individual to show the direction. We are seeking a Production Director to overview our department and steward our growth into the future.

**As the Production Director, you will report to the studio head, and you will work closely with the studio management to deliver a variety of dynamic projects for both in house and external or co-development work. You must have a solid understanding of AAA game production, which you will leverage to push our teams to excellence. You are able to easily communicate your enthusiasm with other disciplines within the development team. And you will need to inspire and mentor less experienced members of the team and assist with managerial tasks when required.**

**What you will be doing**
- Lead and strengthen the growing production team and build the vision to maintain the excellence of the production in an ever-growing environment.
- Overview all the productions of the studio and support the producers in their roles.
- Collaborate with design, engineering, Q/A and art teams to make recommendations and decisions regarding overall production vision.
- Continuously assess risk with producers to identify project’s risks and provide mitigations.
- Support the production teams to manage the project budgets: identifying resource requirements and expectations, tracking actual project spend versus planned spend and continuously updating projections.
- Support the production teams to manage change: ensuring project scope is adhered to, controlling feature creep, ensuring project is delivered in accordance with expectations, and project budget changes if necessary.
- Manage communication of projects progress to the studio head, the division head and internal senior management teams, as well as clients.
- Ensure that each member of the production team has a strong sense of ownership, responsibility and accountability for the quality and timeliness of their contribution.
- Ensure excellent communication, positive working relationships and teamwork within the development teams and across disciplines.
- Support the producers and the studio management in their relationships with the clients.
- Coach and mentor junior production staff
- Work closely with the Studio Management to identify the projects that will help the studio fulfil its growth objectives.
- Qualifications
- **What you should have**
- 8+-year experience at a senior level working in AAA game production (shipped at least 2 AAA console title).
- Experience with leading a team with emphasis on collaborating with Senior and Executive level leadership.
- High level of accountability, with a desire to strongly contribute to a creative environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the capacity to adjust to the audience (team, internal or external stakeholders). A proven record in client relationship management is a plus.
- Experience with complex projects and tracking KPIs, including budget and plannings.
- Critical thinking, and analytical skills to resolve complex issues.
- Excellent decision-making capabilities.
- Exceptional project management practices including excellent knowledge of SCRUM and Agile practices.
- Strong ability to work under pressure.
- Skills to quickly master proprietary tools and development processes.
- Ability to take direction and criticism.
- Desire to foster a dynamic and collaborative team environment.
