Position Overview: **About The Role**: - Leadership of the Sourcing team: including hiring, training, mentoring and overall performance management - In collaboration with the Director Procurement, Planning and Raw Materials, the Director Finished Goods sourcing and the QA Director, assigning projects and tasks equally and inclusively - Improve and implement SOPs to ensure the team has the time, bandwidth, capacity, resources, and empowerment to ensure that design’s vision and development´s technical descriptions, is possible to be executed at the right vendor and with the right materials and is produced profitable and at best quality. - Ensure adherence to calendars including Proto reviews and timing to hit Go-To-Market dates for prototype development, Sales Samples and Bulk delivery - Ensure timely creation, accuracy, and delivery of cost and margin calculations and Manuals as dictated on Product Calendar - Partner cross-functionally with Design, Development, Merchandising, Materials Development, Quality, Compliance and Sustainability and Product operations functions to resolve issues, evolve the product in development, and ensure all product materials are ready at each state of execution from prototype through the ex factory dates. - Partner with Finance team in support the costing process and analysis. - Partner with Vendors and Suppliers to select correct fundamental technologies for new and/or improvement of existing products. - Oversee key projects, processes and performance reports, data, and analysis - Develop and implement methods and procedures for monitoring products during development and production and report status to stakeholders - Check and follow up on regulatory requirements, testing processes and procedures and quality routines. - Seek regular guidance and alignment with VP Sourcing especially as issues arise to align on resolutions - Attend seasonal meetings and exhibitions in support of Design, Development and Materials departments - Any additional duties as may be assigned by the VP Sourcing. **Experience, Education and Designations**: - Bachelors degree with a focus on Textiles, Apparel and/or Business - Minimum of 10 years experience working in Development, Materials, Quality/Testing and Sourcing for at least 2 luxury brands. - Proven track record of building and managing teams and individuals - Experience working in a fast pace environment and Matrix organisation - Experience traveling and working with multiple stakeholders across the globe **About You**: - End to end knowledge and thinking in the entire supply chain in the apparel industry - Ability to adapt in a high paced work environment is required - Strong understanding of commercial product business needs and demonstrated ability working to tight timelines - Self-starter that is organized, detail oriented, team player, and multi-task oriented - Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently - Demonstrates leadership skills - Proven entrepreneurial leader and strong ability to engage and build relationships internally and externally, particularly in the materials community - Demonstrated ability to work with depth and breadth across multiple, complex and simultaneous cross-functional projects - Ability to work as a team and maintain a high level of professionalism and discretion - Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills - Consistently exhibits Canada Goose’s Values, taking pride in being innovative, respectful, passionate, accountable, and entrepreneurial while exhibiting personal commitment **Working Conditions**: - Working from home and in-office environment (Paris) - Travel (including international) when required
