Tissue and biopsy assessment is critical for the proceduralists doing the biopsies, for the patients who need immediate information and Next Generation Sequencing that requires enough live cancer cells. tissue adequacy assessment, in freshly excised tissue, within 2 minutes. Our technologies capture unique data on architecture at high resolution (1 μm in 3D) and microscopic intracellular activity and behaviors in freshly excised tissue, without staining or destroying the tissue. In the context of our development in Aquyre biosciences, we are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Data Engineer. The Data Engineer will handle different steps in the data lifecycle from biopsies acquisition to restitution.

In accordance with specifications and protocols from the Clinical Science and Data Science teams, the Data Engineer will develop algorithms to make raw data more useful to the company.

This data engineer position calls for special skills for data validation, testing, and overall quality control at various stages of the data lifecycle at Aquyre. The Data Engineer will interact with multiple teams on clinical problems identified by Aquyre during collaboration with its global clinical and researcher partners.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop data set processes
- Design and implement data validation and testing, with visualization
- Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency and quality
- Prepare data for data science use
- Take part in Aquyre product development

**Required Skills & Qualifications**:

- Education: Engineer or Master’s degree in Statistics/Physics/Computer Science
- Experience: Strong background in data analytics, knowledge management, and visualization (minimum 3 years)
- Additional Requirements:

- Knowledge of histopathological and DICOM standards/medical image management
- Strong programming skills using Python, shell programming, Pandas, mongoDB, SQL; be comfortable using various programming languages.
- Application deployment (Docker, Kubernetes), Azure environment
- Database & Data Modeling
- Linux/Unix systems
- Human skills such as management, organization & inter-team collaboration
- Fluency in French & English
