For our French subsidiary, we are recruiting Senior Medical Affairs Manager France & Benelux.

OBJECTIVES - PURPOSE OF JOB

Lead the France & Benelux Medical Affairs department ensuring adherence to laws and regulation and establishing a fruitful cooperation with KOLs.

**OBJECTIVES**:

- Lead the Medical Affairs Team and Activities in France & Benelux
- Medical & scientific support to commercial team
- BH products medical & scientific support though entire lifecycle
- Build strong & unique Medical affairs strategy, including KOL engagement plan and data generationKEY ACTIVITIES - RESPONSIBILITIES

Contribute to the development of strategic plans, providing medical and scientific input, including product lifecycle, launch and brand plans

Initiate, supervise the performance and progress of medical activities, including clinical research (Investigators’ Initiated Studies)

Attends core business team meetings, advisory board meetings, and local/international conferences in respect of the guidance & SOP related to Commercial & Medical Interactions

Ensure alignment between the Country medical strategic plans and EMEA/Global medical strategy in respect of internal SOP & Policies and Country Regulations

Manage the budget of the medical division

Manage and develop talents

Create an environment conducive to medical and scientific excellence through employees’ motivation, empowerment and accountability

Maintain a culture of compliance

Develop and deliver scientific and medical training programmes for Reps, Sales Management, Marketing and Customer Services ensuring that Sales Force is adequately trained and fulfil the obligations imposed by the law

Identify and develop KOL’s in alignment with Medical plans

Provide medical and scientific support to HCPs as requested (Speaker programs; Train The Trainers, etc )

Ensure correct policies and procedures are applied in Medical Congresses and Meetings

Present Scientific information and data related to BHC products to external audiences

Provide local scientific support and input to local clinical studies, development and publication

Ensure medical support for regulatory & pharmacovigilance

Manage professional medical advice/medical information on B+L products

SCOPE OF POSITION

Responsible for Medical Affairs in France & Benelux to lead a team of three

Responsible for the Medical Affairs budget and budget planning in the respected areas

Responsible for review/approval processes for marketing-, training
- and other information materials

KEY RELATIONSHIPS

KOLs, HCPs, Marketing & Sales, Medical Affairs peers, Pharmacovigilance, Business Development (BD), Compliance& Legal functions, Quality, Regulatory, Health Authorities, Regulatory Bodies, external stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS - TRAINING

Advanced degree, such as a Medical Doctor degree with clinical research experience, Master of Pharmacy degree or Ph.D. in a research science

**Languages**: sound knowledge of English is a must

**PC knowledge**: MS Office

**(Inter)personal abilities**: Eloquent speaker & writer; possess excellent interpersonal & communication skills, excellent analytical skills, judgment and problem-solving skills, oral communication and public speaking skills.

knowledge about Galenics and clinical trial design experience regarding the tolerance studies for medical device and biocidals is preferred.

EXPERIENCE and SOFT SKILLS

Minimum experience of 3 years in Medical Affairs; Manager position preferred

At least 5-years of experience in pharmaceutical industry

Experience in the Ophthalmology area is preferred

Experience of working with sales and marketing (project management, cross-functional teams, training)

Clinical & research experience in pharma, consumer products and medical devices

Strong science-based customer orientation;
Ability to work independently and in multi-cultural cross-functional teams

Strong team player

Strong communication and presentation skills

Flexible and able to adapt to changing skills

Leadership skills
