Morocco - Site Construction Manager

Description
The Site Manager will be based on the construction site in Morocco. For this project excellent knowledge of French is required.

When? Immediate incorporation

THE MISSION
The Site Manager will be required to perform the following duties on the project:
To be the main contact person for communication with all persons and companies intervening in the Site, including the Client and/or its consultant(s).
To guide all subcontractors and co-ordinate all site activities (construction and commissioning) of all the trades and disciplines involved on the site, so that all operations are performed efficiently and in accordance with the construction schedule, and the quality, cost and safety standards required by the Project Contract
To coordinate all site activities and ensure that all work is kept on schedule and that all details as specified in the drawings, specifications and instructions are adhered to. If necessary, he/she will instruct the trade contractor to adjust its plant and/or labor provisions to meet the indicated targets and milestones.
To monitor and update the detailed execution schedule (level 4), based upon the project general time schedule (level3)
To manage the site staff on all aspects.
To lead the weekly coordination meetings and to ensure the recording
To lead the weekly contractor meetings and the weekly Customer coordination meetings and to ensure the recording
In conjunction with the Project Manager, to coordinate and control the sub-contractors on the site, provides appropriate information concerning potential additional requirements and handles any problems which may arise.
Together with the site HSE Manager/Supervisor, to ensure that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to at all times in accordance with laid down company procedures as well as the provisions of Health and Safety legislation. This will include the maintenance of the Health and Safety Folder and ensuring work is carried out in accordance with prepared Risk Assessments and method statements. Also ensures appropriate completion of accident records and adequate provision of First Aid Cover.
Together with the site QA/QC Supervisor and all supervisors, to ensure the Project Quality requirements are adhered to at all times in accordance with laid down company procedures as well as the provisions of the Project Design Basis.
To issue the monthly Construction Site Progress Report according the company template
The Site Manager will identify a member of the Site Staff who will be in charge to replace the Site Manager when is on leave.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Being the representative on the Construction Site, he has to act as the first Team Member on Site.
The Site Manager is responsible of the “all aspect” management of the Team on site.
The Site Manager is responsible of the proper Management of the Construction Site.
The Site Manager can approve in coordination with the Project Technical Manager and/or the Project Manager of any action leading to a change of technical concept.
The Site Manager can approve in coordination with the Project Manager and/or the Project Technical Manager any action inducing a change of scope with a financial impact.
The Site Manager is allowed to counter-sign the Site Orders issued by the Construction site Procurement Officer according the Procurement procedure defined in QMS.

Experience

Civil Works Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent by experience Experienced Coordination of the construction various disciplines such as: Civil Works, Mechanical Erection Works, Piping Erection Works, E&I works, Construction Supervisors Team Management, Construction Activities Monitoring and Reporting
