**Position overview**:
The Quality Manager is responsible for setting and maintaining excellent standards of quality for the plant. You’ll ensure the plant achieves Ball’s quality goals through the installation and maintenance of effective manufacturing systems and through leadership, motivation and support of all plant personnel.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Ensure safe working practices are followed at all times and to support improvements to safety, staff welfare and environmental impacts.
- Ensure that all quality standards are met through management of people and systems, both direct and indirect report.
- Drive the continuous improvement of quality, customer service and costs.
- Manage the department’s resources to meet the budget and the requirements of the production schedule.
- Lead and influence other departments to ensure that quality matters are fully supported.
- Manage the performance and development of department staff, including identifying training needs, coaching and promoting teamwork.
- Maintain ISO9001 and BRC standards, and support the maintenance of the 14001 and 45001 systems
- Manage the BRC Audit Process with both the External Auditors and Internal Process controllers.
- Develop and maintain co-operative relationships with customers, suppliers, legislative bodies and other external contacts for the good of the business.
- Take a lead role within the Senior Management Team in the development of plant strategy and budget

**Experience required**:

- Previous experience in a Quality-related role in a manufacturing facility, within a multinational, matrix organisation.
- Degree-qualified or with sufficient experience and qualifications.
- In depth knowledge of ISO 9001, BRC and GMP/Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Microsoft Office knowledge
- Strong communication skills across all organisational levels.
- Knowledge of budgetary processes.
- Analytical skills and ability to drive outcomes.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
