**Job Overview**:
The Senior Project Manager will provide leadership for complex strategic projects by ensuring that there is strong alignment between strategy, goals, and execution. This individual will assemble, lead, motivate, and align the project team in client engagements within our Integrated Drug Development division. Responsible for managing a team of project managers and maintaining an environment that enables and encourages optimum performance.
**Responsibilities**:
Project Management
- Conduct Project Management activities for complex multi-disciplinary projects delivering quality, efficient, and timely solutions
- Translate decisions into implementable projects and manage to successful execution
- Optimize decision-making for budget and resource commitments. Ensure the consideration of various options according to the principles of time, cost and risk and addressing technical, regulatory, business and operational needs
- Plan, develop, monitor, and track projects ensuring all functions are aligned behind the objectives and inspire the team to achieve challenging goals. Ensuring a well-functioning, efficient project team.
- Understand responsibilities within the engagement and ensure the successful steps of project management are being adhered to within each engagement
- Broad understanding of drug development and the lifecycle of a project
- Adept in the product offerings of Integrated Drug Development, a basic understanding of different Business Units within the organization
- Manage project budget, status, deliverables and conducts invoicing throughout the project lifecycle
- Identify and document scope changes, ensuring timing and budget impact are communicated to all stakeholders
- Support the Account/Project Leader in all aspects of project management activities such as scoping, time, resource and budget tracking, project planning, client interactions, and reporting
- Take leadership role in various special assignments, projects or teams as and when required. Quickly comprehend the business challenge or requirements, drive the exercise to identify solutions.
- Collaborate with project team to ensure timely delivery and quality of all project deliverables
- Lead and manage client meetings/teleconferences/client visits and quality audits
- Oversee QC process of a project by tracking contributions of stakeholders and assuring full document QC according to applicable SOPs
- Authors scopes of work for client engagements and supports accurate pipeline reporting by maintaining up to date SalesForce records
- Leads strategic Operational Excellence initiatives aimed at improvement of business practices and processes
People Management (if required)
- Helps junior staff to establish goals for themselves to gain advantage in skillsets
- Monitors performance result, and confronts performance problems readily
- Gives frequent and candid performance feedback to build strengths and close any performance gaps; celebrates individual and team success
- Takes responsibility for developing the Firm's talent; encourages opportunities for employees to build their skills and careers
Communication
- Collaborate directly with sponsors and stakeholders in developing business requirements, business controls and implementation plans
- Produce and present clear, concise, and professionally written communications and presentations
- Communicate issues, issue status, and issue resolution on a regular basis
- Provide leadership and timely feedback to keep all stakeholders, including senior management, informed of project progress
