Data is at the core of SCOR strategic plan Forward 2026 as one of its four enablers. The Data and Analytics Office (DAO) headed by the Group Chief Data & Analytics Officer is the unit responsible for the definition of the Data Strategy and its successful execution across the organization, through a well-governed data foundation, impactful data products and state-of-the-art advanced analytics / A.I. capabilities. DAO liaises with the business and other counterparts (CIO, COO), to identify the areas of opportunity and shape the capabilities that generate true business value for SCOR, in line with the organization’s objectives.
The DAO team, international and multi-cultural, mixes all skills (business, design, product, governance, engineering, analytics, AI) to make SCOR the reinsurer of tomorrow. Within the DAO, the Advanced Analytics & AI team is at the core of the unit, delivering the most impactful AI projects.
Within the P&C business unit, SCOR aims to bridge the protection gap by offering new products and improved services. As emerging risks, particularly climate change, grow, understanding these threats is crucial. Building resilience in this evolving landscape is both a challenge and an opportunity. For example, capturing better data through our genAI ecosystem helps us understand risks in cyber, agriculture, construction, and natural disasters.
- Lead and contribute to P&C advanced analytics and generative AI projects
- Collaborate with and mentor Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers
- Serve as an ambassador and contribute to sharing data science knowledge both internally and externally
- A minimum of 7 years’ experience in data science, with strong programming skills (advanced python (OOP, API, data models) and capacity to perform peer review) and proficiency in machine learning techniques.
- Proven capability to produce work that is easily reproducible and industrialized (git usage, Docker).
- Experience in managing AI products throughout the entire life cycle, including coding, deployment, performance monitoring, and algorithm updates.
- Leading transformational projects, ideally in P&C (re)insurance
- Master’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Actuarial or similar quantitative field
