**About My English Sister**
My English Sister is a Lyon-based English language learning and childcare agency. Our mission is to support the English development of French children through fun, personalised tuition and care. Each year, we recruit a team of 30+ English-speaking brothers and sisters to work with families in cities across France.

We offer flexible, part-time roles ideal for students, language assistants, or young professionals looking to gain childcare or teaching experience, improve their French, and join a supportive, bilingual community.

**Job Opportunity - Lyon 6e (69006)**
We are currently recruiting for a Childcare & Teaching Assistant to work with a bilingual family in Lyon. You will care for a bright, curious 5-year-old boy and support his English language development through play-based, immersive activities.

**Start date**: 01/09/2025 (flexible)
**End date**: 31/07/2026
**Location**: 29 Boulevard des Belges, 69006 Lyon

**Schedule**:
The position follows a 4-week rotating cycle (8 hours/day):

- **Week 1**: Monday-Saturday (1st of September)
- **Weeks 2-4**: Mondays only

**Role Description**
Your responsibilities will include:

- Leading games, storytelling, arts & crafts, and nature-based activities
- Supporting the child’s curiosity about music, insects, and imaginative play
- Encouraging English conversation through creative, engaging sessions
- Supervising pre-prepared meals and teeth brushing during longer shifts
- Providing a calm, structured environment with clear boundaries

The child already has a strong level of English. All communication with him will be exclusively in English, using materials provided by the family to support his continued language development.

We are looking for someone who is:

- A fluent English speaker (C2 level)
- Previously lived in a native English-speaking country
- Aged 20+
- Has at least 12 months of childcare experience
- Enthusiastic, engaging, and proactive

French is not required. Teaching experience is a plus but not essential.
