**Essential Functions**:
Responsible for the global Product Development Team. Working in conjunction with the VP, Global Commercial Aerospace to globalize the commercial product development team to gain single strategic focus across the global HFS team. The role is responsible for setting and executing the global strategic direction for growth and technical activities for HFS, with our customers, industry, and other stake holders.

The role is responsible for understanding, mapping, and developing strategic plans for the Product Development Team, ensuring that the team facilitates customer requests for quotation on time, through the development of necessary infrastructure and personnel devising the short
- and long-term strategy as the global business process owner.

**Specific Responsibilities Include**:
Drives development and execution of global customer services for HFS, in coordination with Commercial, Logistics, Operations and Engineering functions

Direct commercial teams (Customer Support Representative) in the identification, development & sustainability of customer accounts in line with the business strategy, ensuring strategies for such customers optimize HFS’ business and minimize conflicts and internal competition.

Develop, alongside the VP, Global Aerospace the strategy for HFS, in coordination with other commercial staff members and various resources within HFS and marketing, technical sales materials.

Create objectives to align the team to meet HFS growth strategy and target new business within both defined existing & developing markets, ensuring priorities are appropriately defined, with effective action plans. Monitor the B&S budget process for defined area of responsibility.

Monitor and manage high levels of customer satisfaction across the globe from the respective locations. Supporting where necessary to maintain the standards required.

Ensure the team work in conjunction with Sales & Marketing, Product Engineering and R&D Engineering to provide commercial and technical support and manage various projects for customers.

Ensure the team are facilitating the development of innovative designs, configurations, project scheduling and installations, within the limits of established policies and procedures, and coordinate communication with customers and the market.

Review, recommend and manage contract requirements to ensure they are within limits of established policies and procedures, including commercial and intellectual property (patent, trademark, licensing) requirements.

Drive complete accurate transmittal of contract commercial and technical information throughout the organization.

Ensure the team are set up to evaluate the technical aspects of vendor performance to commercial, technical, and quality requirements. Manger the global integration for aerospace projects and programs.

Define, update, and maintain installation, commissioning and troubleshooting procedures. Support, develop and maintain global compliance policies, procedures, and activities, as they relate to technical and product functions.

Establish positive relationships with customer representatives and managers in procurement, logistics, engineering, program and project offices, and other personnel to convince customers of desirability and practicability of products or services offered.

Conduct people management responsibilities, including hiring, job assignments, performance reviews, development and coaching of team members alongside other people management requirements in a timely and professional manner.

Identify key skills of team members to enable them to perform effectively and efficiently, in line with business needs and strategies, and develop the team’s skill base and knowledge.

Identify, coach, and develop talent with a view to succession planning for the Product Development team.

Adhere to all company policies and procedures and environmental health and safety rules. Work in a safe manner that promotes the health and well-being of the individual and environment. Comply with all EHS rules and regulations and supervisory instructions. Report all incidents including injuries, spills, fires, property damage, and near misses to their supervisor.

**Education**:
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering related topic.

**Experience and Background**:
Minimum 10 years’ experience in aerospace and industrial markets. Background in aerospace fasteners highly preferred, or alternative engineering background working within metal industries.

Must have 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Proven interpersonal and leadership abilities to proactively lead a team of managerial and professional people and to interact effectively with individuals and groups both internal and external to the company and at all organizational levels.
