The KE8 UAP, as a brand-new Autonomous Production Unit (UAP) at the Rumilly site (Haute-Savoie), specializes in manufacturing convivial cooking appliances such as raclette grills, planchas, and fondue sets. Our goal is to continuously optimize our performance and production flows in order to deliver superior quality products to our consumers.
What we will achieve together:
Following the integration of presses in the area, we are looking for an intern to support our teams in implementing Lean Manufacturing standards. The aim is to improve performance in terms of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC), thereby strengthening our competitiveness.
We want to collaborate with shopfloor process teams to deploy the key Lean Manufacturing tools, such as Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Short Interval Management (SIM), and 5S. The ultimate goal is to help teams gain autonomy and expertise, improve equipment availability, reduce scrap rates, and optimize the supply of assembly lines.
Detailed missions:
- Phase 1 - Assessment (1 month): Analyze current production processes and failure points. Meet with operators to understand their issues.- Phase 2 - Design (2 months): Define and implement the Lean deployment plan. Select tools, organize, train, and deploy.- Phase 3 - Improvement (2 months): Implement the technical solution. Make operational adjustments. Support teams in problem-solving.- Phase 4 - Review & Recommendations (1 month): Evaluate initial results and propose improvement opportunities.
Bring your competencies:
Education level: Final year engineering student (Master’s degree or equivalent).- Specialization: Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Industrial Performance, or equivalent.- Technical skills: Knowledge of project management, Lean Manufacturing, or industrial automation is a plus.- Personal qualities: Autonomy, initiative, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work in a team.
