**Votre rôle et vos missions**:
**Department description**

The position is based in a 25-member credit team within the AXA Group holding company’s Investment & ALM department headed by the Group CIO. The sub-team of credit analysts is led by the Head of Public Fixed Income and is divided into Non-financial Corporates, Financial Corporates and SSAs. The apprentice will report to the head of the Financial, REITs and SSA analysis and will support the SSA Analyst.

The AXA Group Credit book is in the order of EUR470bn of which the IG DM SSA portfolio is EUR50bn, making it important to achieving AXA Group’s objectives in terms of investment revenues and income. The team contributes to the ratings assignment and investment decision. The team also works actively with the risk department and the asset managers

**Main activities**

The principal role of the apprentice is to assist in the research coverage and investment process and guidelines of a portfolio of around 130 local and regional governments, government agencies, and supranational/multilateral issuers across developed countries in Europe, North America, Asia & the Pacific. Other tasks include data management, contribution to transversal topics and update on processes.

Analytical work includes: 3/3
- Collecting and organizing financial and macroeconomic data necessary to conduct issuer and sector level credit research for developed market countries in Europe, North America, Asia & the Pacific.
- Reading rating agencies’ and brokers’ credit research and opinions, participating in meetings or discussions with analysts from these institutions to delve into relevant topics, and synthesizing key takeaways.
- Following news on Bloomberg, the Financial Times and other media sources that are relevant to SSA issuers within the portfolio and communicating these credit developments to members of the team at various internal meetings.
- Helping the analysts to conduct credit analysis based on internal methodologies which rely on both quantitative and qualitative factors, drafting research reports, and preparing documentation for rating committees.
- Conducting ESG research for integration into credit analysis.
- Meeting with SSA issuers through management calls and roadshows

**Votre profil**:

- A master’s student in a relevant field such as finance, business, economics, public administration or political sciences.
- Demonstrated interest in public sector analysis/public finance through coursework or relevant work experience is preferred.
- Qualities desired are autonomy, curiosity, reliability and rigor, as well as the ability to integrate in a multicultural environment and interact with other teams.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Working proficiency in French and/or German would be a plus.
- Good qualitative and quantitative skills. Proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint is required, familiarity with Bloomberg would be a plus.
- Ability to synthesize information in a clear and concise manner.
