The Paris-based French comms team is looking for a passionate and hands-on communications professional with a solid background in consumer storytelling to join our growing team as Consumer Communications Manager.
Working with our global and regional teams, agencies and partners the person in this role will deliver strategic communications programs (from amplifying calendar moments, local activations, creator profiles and products to enabling impactful go-to-market of key cultural, music, entertainment events and partnerships) that celebrate our brand, drive community affinity, draw in new audiences, and convey TikTok’s appeal, differentiation, relevance and value as a community-driven entertainment platform.
This is the role for you if you are a resourceful and creative professional with an interest in all things popular culture, latest trends and the TikTok community, who knows how to identify patterns across viral trends, content and data that could spark a compelling story that generates media coverage and social buzz. This is a full-time position based in Paris, France.
**Responsibilities**:
- Create, deliver and execute proactive communications plans that showcase TikTok's impact on communities, society and industries
- Oversee day-to-day execution for consumer communication strategies and campaigns, adapting global announcements and initiatives for the French market as well as driving creative local programs from message development, multi-tier media outreach planning to event development
- Support local Head of Comms collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders and external agencies/partners to develop and implement consumer communications campaigns and initiatives that support and fuel impactful storytelling for TikTok in France among consumer, music, tech, sports, and lifestyle media. Being agile and resourceful to support the team in others companies' topics when needed.
- Work hand in hand with local comms colleagues and regional to global peers
- Being proactive and motivated comms expert, proposing and developing ideas that will bring life to case studies, trends or product features
- Being passionate about our community and being a creative force in highlighting its diversity and uniqueness. Strengthen TikTok's cultural relevance and positive impact leaning on the richness of the content, the creators and and artists on the platform
- Develop press materials, media pitches and presentations and organise press briefings and events to effectively tell our story
- Brief and advise company spokespeople in preparation for media interviews, press conferences and presentations
- Support the team in developing new innovative tools and templates to report and measure results, follow projects, team and partners efficiency.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree or above in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field
- 5+ years of relevant working experience in consumer communications in the lifestyle, tech or entertainment sector (agency and/or in-house in a global company)
- Proven track record in delivering PR programs (from consumer to B2B to corporate) for fast-paced environments
- Open-mindedness with a creative mindset
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in French and English (fluent is mandatory)
- A solid network of relationships within the French Tech/Consumer and lifestyle media (across online, print and broadcast) and a perfect understanding of media expectations and needs
- Passion for creative tech consumer storytelling complemented by strong project management skills; for all things related to pop culture, online platforms, innovation and more
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, excellent problem-solving skills; self-motivated, with strong analytical thinking; ability to work on a variety of projects simultaneously
- A strong bias-to-action and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting quickly to change
