**Who you are**
We are looking for a competent, result driven team leader to our cash line and children’s playroom departments in IKEA Tampere for full-time (37.5h/week) & permanent position. What you need to have
- Ability to take responsibility of leading people and operational daily work and well considered adaptivity and you excel in a fast-paced retail environment.
- You are capable of motivating and leading your team by setting expectations and leading by example on the shopfloor with your team members.
- You are result driven with a strong customer focus.
- You are good at prioritizing and organizing work using commercial priorities in order to make the most efficient use of time and capable of quick decision making.
- Ability to work both independently and together with your managers and team members. You dare to do things in a different way, and you are not afraid to do mistakes, and you dare to question established practices.
- You speak and write fluently both in Finnish and in English.
- You get extra points for studies in commercial, educational or other suitable education fields.

**Your responsibilities**
As a Team Leader, you are working with operations, efficiency, and service level of the cash department and the children’s playroom and its operations and the personnel of about 12-15 co-workers. You work together with the Checkout Services Manager who you also report to.
- You will work on cash line and children’s playroom where you lead by example every day, supporting, challenging, and coaching co-workers. Your regular work week consists mostly of operational shifts together with your team, but you get to be involved in developing and leading the operations and personnel in both departments and the activities in the store.
- Together with the team, you focus on putting the customer at first in everything you do. The goal is to exceed the customer expectations on daily basis and to make shopping as easy as possible for the customers.
- Together with your manager and depending on your skills and level of interest, you have a chance to take responsibility also for planning and budgeting departments’ working hours.
- Together with your manager, you take responsibility for your department goals and ensure your action plan is in place and communicated clearly to the team. As a team leader you are developing your team to keep the team motivated and they have the knowledge and tools to perform their job in the best possible way.
- You follow up customer feedback in daily basics and take actions accordingly by using proven solutions and good examples to secure best possible customer service in the store.
- As a Team Leader you are working in a fast-paced operational environment, so you need to react positively to changes and adapt yourself in rapidly changing circumstances to lead your team.

We hope you to optimize the IKEA shopping experience in the store to secure satisfied customers and increase stores sales. You use IKEA tools and the expertise of your team and colleagues to support you.

This position is full time 37,5h/week and permanent. We hope that you can start employment with us latest in May 2025.

In this role your mainly working hours are between 9-21 and including some weekend shifts.
