**Eden Tech**, a start-up based in Paris, is seeking an Electrochemical Engineer to join our team. Our company specializes in microfluidic solutions for high-volume processing with the goal of revolutionizing the industry. By emulating Nature's ultra-efficient and compact systems, Eden Tech has developed sustainable products for water purification and energy generation. Recently, Eden Tech was awarded a grant from the European Commission to develop a microfluidic wastewater electrolyzer as part of the 2021 edition of the EIC Pathfinder Challenge. The project, known as MACGHYVER (Microfluidic wAstewater treatment and Creation of Green HYdrogen Via Electrochemical Reactions), ranked first out of 100 European proposals on the topic of innovative green hydrogen solutions. The MACGHYVER consortium is led and coordinated by Eden Tech, with five other European universities (PUT, UCLM, TU Delft, TUC, and LUH) participating. As an Electrochemical Engineer at Eden Tech, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-performance microfluidic electrolyzers for hydrogen production in collaboration with other consortium partners to reach the TRL4-7.

**Responsibilities**:

- Design and develop high-performance microfluidic electrolyzers for hydrogen production
- Conduct simulation and modeling to predict and validate electrochemical behavior
- Perform laboratory experiments to validate and optimize the performance of microfluidic electrolyzers
- Analyze and optimize electrochemical processes for maximum efficiency and performance
- Collaborate with other teams to develop and integrate advanced technologies into microfluidic systems
- Work closely with other team members to create and implement new technologies and processes
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot any issues that may arise

Qualifications:

- Ph.D. degree in Electrochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with electrochemical simulation software (COMSOL Multiphysics for example)
- Strong experimental skills and experience in impedance spectrometry and other relevant laboratory work
- Strong craftsmanship and manual dexterity, with the ability to work autonomously and meticulously.
- Experience in biosensors development is a plus
- Excellent communication in English/French and teamwork skills
- Passion for working in a fast-paced, dynamic start-up environment
