**Sweep is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to work on our sustainability data management platform.**:
Our market-leading, AI-powered software helps organizations understand all extra-financial data across their business and value chain to manage increasing disclosure requirements and take action to meet sustainable business goals.

**Ok, sounds promising. What will I be doing?**:
As a backend engineer, you'll contribute to the development of our cutting-edge ESG platform, leveraging LLM technologies to enhance its capabilities and drive positive impact.

More specifically, your mission will involve:

- Collaborate with the team to develop and maintain features by implementing backend APIs, business logic and tests
- Participate in feature design discussions, contributing ideas and insights
- Identify technical challenges and propose software updates and fixes
- Contribute to quality assurance processes
- Leverage LLMs to bring AI features on specific needs like generating content, assisting user actions or manipulating data
- Design and Develop APIs: Create and maintain GraphQL endpoints
- Design database schemas, write migrations, and optimize queries using ActiveRecord or other ORM (Object-Relational Mapping) libraries
- Write unit tests, integration tests using RSpec and other testing frameworks

**Qualifications**
- Engineer degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in backend development, with a focus on LLM technologies
- Proficiency in a programming language: Ruby, Python and to a lesser extent Typescript
- Ability to use LLMs and its techniques (RAG, prompt engineering)
- Experience with agile development methodologies
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for creating solutions using LLM principles
