Created in 2009, ESSP is a young and dynamic company, a pan European service provider, certified by EASA (the European Union Aviation Safety Agency) to deliver safety-critical services. Our mission is to operate and provide Communication, Navigation and Surveillance(CNS) services, among which, the main one is, the EGNOS service (the European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service), on behalf of the EUSPA (the European Agency for Space). We are looking for an Operations Safety Engineer who will be in charge of safety tasks related to ESSP's operations and management activities. For these activities, we are looking for someone with at least 5 years’ experience in dependability (particularly qualitative analyses) of complex systems, with a very good level of English (minimum B2). **Main responsibilities/activities**: Your main activities, performed in the frame of satellite navigation services delivery (EGNOS V2 & V3 programs) will be: **On Safety processes topics on satellite navigation**: - Perform and/or coordinate the elaboration of risk analyses related to: - the operational and maintenance procedures of EGNOS, - Safety Management System processes, - Tools developed by ESSP in support to EGNOS Operations, - Specific operations (specific analyses). - Manage the configuration of the aforementioned risk analyses and related safety recommendations, - Perform the analysis and follow-up of the observations, operator deviatons, notifications of service performance degradations and ensure safety indicators monitoring etc, - Ensure close follow-up of ESSP's daily operations, maintaining a dependable configuration of the EGNOS system operations, in particular by participating in periodic dedicated meetings; **In addition, you will provide support to**: - The validation from safety viewpoint of the Industry Operations documents related to the upcoming deployment (in order to anticipate the risk assessments quoted here above), - The development, maintenance and continuous improvement of Safety processes and procedures for the Safety Management System applicable to EGNOS V2 & V3 programs (including definition and implementation of audit actions plans), - The EGNOS safety incidents’s investigations, and writing the related reports, - The review and validation of technical documents considered "Safety relevant", - The preparation of the Safety Cases and Safety support cases (in their Operations facet) of future EGNOS versions, - The acceptance process of these safety dossiers by the customer and/or comptetent authority, - As Safety Representative in technical meetings, committees for EGNOS Engineering and Management of anomalies. **As a referent, on Safety of EGNOS Operations, you will provide support/expertise to**: - The answers to request for proposals for Operations safety aspects, - Missions and consultancy services for ESSP’s customers, - The activities of other members of the Safety team (EGNOS project or others) in order to ensure flexibility. **Profile**: **Generic Skills**: - Autonomous, practical, rigor and detail oriented, - Ability to analyse and summarise, - Ability to work in a team, - Show initiative and willing to take responsibilities, - High level of English (B2 - C1) - CEFR **Specific Skills**: - Specialization in Safety & Dependability activities and associated tools (Failure trees, hazard analysis, Systems safety analysis, Human dependability analyses, Failure Modes Effects Analyses - FMEA -, Safety cases ), or experience in an Operational centre performing critical operations, - Knowledge of EGNOS and its european regulatory framework in aeronautical and air traffic control domain, - Knowledge of Applicable European Regulations in aeronautical, space (Ideally knowledge of EU 2017/373 regulation is a must), - Knowledge of system engineering processes & Experience in development of complex systems. **Job Requirements**: Engineering degree or equivalent Available for punctual travels mainly in Europe Subject exceptionally to constraints of minimum presence during holiday periods (July/August, Christmas, February, Easter).
