**Job Title**: Head of Finance - Matrix Requirements GmbH

As our **Head of Finance**, you will play a pivotal role in establishing & leading our finance department. This is a unique opportunity to build the finance function from the ground up in a PE-backed high-growth scale-up, starting with a hands-on approach with the potential to build a team in the future.

Reporting directly to our CEO, you will oversee all financial aspects of our operations. Additionally, you will collaborate with the co-founders and be involved in board presentations, ensuring financial alignment with our strategic goals.

**_Responsibilities:_**

Build and Manage Finance Function:

- Establish & develop finance, implementing policies, procedures & systems.
- Take ownership of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
- Oversee all financial operations. - accounting, tax, treasury and risk management.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure financial alignment with objectives.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.

Financial Strategy and Reporting:

- Develop and execute financial strategies for company growth and profitability.
- Prepare accurate, timely financial reports, incl. monthly, quarterly & annual statements.
- Provide analysis of financial performance, highlighting trends and risks.
- Support decision-making processes by providing financial recommendations.

Compliance and Governance:

- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting, and tax obligations.
- Implement effective internal controls and risk management practices.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities.

**_Requirements:_**
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in senior finance roles, preferably within a software or SaaS organisation.
- Proven ability to establish and lead a finance department.
- Strong knowledge of financial management principles and practices.
- Exceptional communication and high-level executive presentation skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and systems.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
- Analytical yet curious mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Strong project management skills, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Business-level English.
- Located in Paris.
