**Our Tech Team**:
The Tech, Data, and Product team comprises 70+ people from diverse backgrounds, working in our offices in Nantes, Paris, and Barcelona. Our products are developed thanks to six autonomous product Teams, each working on a specific business domain. The teams are led by a Product Manager and Engineer manager working with a dedicated small team of developers (from 4 to 8)

**The Market Place Product Team**:
The Team supports the Netmarket offer that helps e-merchants leverage their D2C (direct-to-consumer) solution to sell their products to more than 70 marketplaces across Europe without effort. From one e-shop Lengow make your business live on all significant marketplaces in Europe.
Our tech stack runs on AWS, using PostgreSQL, MongoDB and RabbitMQ. We are ambitious to transform our architecture to an event-based system. Our code base is in Python.

The missions of the team are:

- Understand the most crucial marketplaces to connect to the Lengow Ecosystem in the different industries and countries.
- Understand the business rules and requirements of each of the marketplaces connected to Lengow
- Manage the data transformation to push the e-retailer products catalog into the marketplace
- Manage the data transformation to push the e-retailer offers and promotion to the marketplaces
- Collect from the different marketplaces orders placed by consumers and consolidate them into the e-retailer OMS (order management system), dealing with invoices, stocks, and fulfillments.
- Make sure e-retailer business can work smoothly 24x7 with high-speed updates

We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead and inspire our talented team of software engineers. You will play a critical role in driving the development of our cutting-edge products, fostering a culture of excellence, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-impact projects. This is an opportunity to work on meaningful challenges in a collaborative and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and motivate a small team of engineers (4 to 8) to achieve their best performance.
- Technical Guidance: Provide architectural and design leadership, ensuring technical excellence and scalability.
- Hands-on senior software engineering, you are also able to code part of your time (20%)
- Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring they are on time and within scope.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Design, and QA, to define and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Recruitment & Retention: Identify hiring needs, participate in recruiting efforts, and foster a culture that attracts and retains top talent.
- Continuous improvements & process optimization: Implement and refine engineering processes, tools, and best practices to enhance productivity and quality.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate progress, challenges, and solutions effectively to leadership and stakeholders.
- Team roadmap: in collaboration with your Team Product Manager, you will build the quarterly roadmap of the team

Qualifications:

- Proven experience (5+ years) in engineering management or a similar leadership role in a SaaS or e-commerce-focused organization.
- Strong technical background with hands-on experience in software development and system design.
- Demonstrated ability to manage, mentor, and develop engineering teams.
- Excellent project management skills, with a track record of delivering complex projects on time.
- Strong understanding of agile development methodologies and modern engineering practices.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skillsn, you speak English and French.
- Passion for technology and innovation, with a focus on driving business impact through engineering excellence.
- You are comfortable with Cloud environments
- You are autonomous, proactive and versatile.
- You have one or more experiences (5+ years) in Python
- you are comfortable with AWS services
- you are experienced in event based architecture (Kafka, Rabbit-MQ, SNS/SQS, Pub/Sub or any other framework)
- you are proficient in SQL
