Created in 2009, **ESSP**is a young and dynamic company, a **pan European service provider**, certified by EASA (the European Union Aviation Safety Agency) to deliver safety-critical services. Our mission is to operate and provide **Communication, Navigation and Surveillance**(CNS) services, among which, the main one is, the **EGNOS service** (the European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service), on behalf of the EUSPA (the European Agency for Space).

In ESSP we are looking for a:
**SYSTEM MONITORING ENGINEER - (F/M)**

**Your main responsibilities/activities will be**:

- Monitoring events impacting the state of the EGNOS system such as failures or maintenance activities;
- Identifying potential deviations of the operators or maintainers;
- Preparing entries for the daily OMB (Operations Management Board) meeting, in which you will participate as one of the main representatives of the Engineering team;
- Monitoring and coordinating the activities of engineering support needed to resolve issues escalated by the MCC operators;
- Coordinating the operations with the Operation Team and verifying the planning of daily operations;
- Verifying the System behavior when the System engineer is unavailable and exchanging with the Sub System experts in case of System issues and degradations, in order to define their causes;
- Monitoring performance indicators applicable to Engineering activities;
- Contributing to the EGNOS Service Performance Monthly and Yearly Reports;
- Producing the monthly System Performance Report;
- Coordinating the engineering contribution to the Safety Case Dossier;
- Participating in reviews of operational documentation (processes, procedures, plans);
- Contributing to the definition of Operational Workarounds which can be implemented to reduce the impacts of a System event or restore the nominal behavior of a sub-system;
- Could be required to review the documentation delivered by the Industry in charge of developing new EGNOS versions;
- Could be involved in creating or analysing Observation Reports;
- Could coordinate Integration, Validation and Qualification campaigns;
- Contributing to the maintenance of Engineering tools and document templates (macro excel/VB, validation of new tool versions );
- Could manage or contribute to EGNOS activities related to one or several Engineering domains such as hardware installations on site;
- Could participate to non EGNOS projects and contribute for instance to bid responses.

**PROFILE**:

- Very good technical knowledge of SBAS systems and EGNOS in particular
- Good knowledge of space or aeronautical systems operations in general
- General knowledge of software development
- Ability to work in team
- Ability to analyze and summarize
- Good level of English (B1-B2) - CEFR

**JOB SPECIFICATIONS**:
Engineering degree in or equivalent in scientific field

Available for **punctual travels** mainly in Europe

Subject to constraints of minimum presence during normal vacation periods (July/August, Christmas, February, Easter).
