**Our company**

ACRI-ST works on satellite remote sensing data, with a R&D activity in satellite remote sensing of the ocean, coastal waters, shoreline, continental waters, land cover and land use, as well as features and dynamics modelling and data assimilation in models. The company is developing services in data collection, processing, archiving and distribution of satellite images..

The main customers are the ESA, EUMETSAT, the European Commission, the industrials or governmental development agencies. ACRI-ST is involved in the specification of spatial missions, spatial data processing and access to relevant information for the environmental observation.

**The position**

In this role you will:
Technical Design & Development of new functionalities in Python

Maintain and fix existing functionalities

Technical Design & Development of services, systems and APIs in the field of environmental data processing

Technical Design & Development of complex systems

Technical Design & Development of orchestrators for EO data processing

Write technical specification

Contribute to technical documentation

Take part in maintaining and improving code quality and best practices within the team

Supervise and provide technical support to the younger members of the team

Interact with the Web Tech Lead on joint topics

Interact with DevOps Lead for deployment and environments purposes

Interact with Architect to get functional specification and design details

Work as part of a project team with a view to continuous improvement and agile management, and the ability to estimate development tasks with the respect of project schedule

**Qualifications**

Mastery or skills in Python development, NodeJS appreciated, REST API

Deep knowledge of systems and network frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, etc.) and related technologies

Use of SQL database (PostgreSQL)

Experience of networks, distributed systems and parallelism

Mastery of virtualisation and Cloud technologies, Docker

Expert in systems programming and software lifecycle

Knowledge of workload orchestration frameworks appreciated (e.g.: Argo Workflows)

Technical English

Teamwork, analytical skills, critical thinking, versatility, autonomy and organisation

Software best practices (Git branches management, unit tests, code review )

Engineer degree and minimum 10 years of experience in systems development
