**\uD83D\uDCC4 JOB DESCRIPTION**:

- The Transport Director is a key role in the Operations Management team at Veepee.
- Responsible for the entire transport network, overlooking the primary transportation from suppliers, the internal transportation between our warehouses, the international transportation between countries, and the final shipments to our members through our last-mile delivery network. Additionally, the Transport Director is responsible for the returns network and will work actively with other areas to process and reduce them.
- This position is also responsible for the technological development of the transportation tools required to optimize the efficiency and quality of transportation operations, while ensuring customer experience.

**\uD83C\uDFAF TASKS**:
**Define and implement transportation strategy**:

- Develop a transportation strategy aligned with the company's overall objectives and members preferences (home delivery, drop points, lockers, etc.) for orders delivery and return.

**Manage relationships with carriers**:

- Select, negotiate and manage contracts with a wide portfolio of national and international carriers. Establish and create strong partnerships, monitor their performance (deadlines, quality of service, cost adherence), and implement continuous improvement plans.

**Develop the right processes and technological transport management tools**:

- Define state-of-the-art processes and use our internal development team to deliver innovative transport management tools to support carrier management and improve delivery services.

**Optimize costs, efficiency and sustainability**:

- Analyze and control transportation costs and carbon footprint, identify opportunities for optimization (pick-up optimization, close loops in internal transportation, delivery mode, freight consolidation, route optimization, parcel volumetry management) in collaboration with other areas (fulfillment, packaging, etc.). Implement and follow up Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to reduce cost and environmental impact.

**Oversee delivery operations**:

- Supervise the smooth running of daily transportation operations, from pickup at the supplier to final delivery to our members. Manage unforeseen events (delays, incidents, disputes) and propose quick and effective solutions.

**Team management**:

- Manage, develop, and motivate an excellent international team of 20 transportation experts (transport managers, process owners, analysts and coordinators), with 4 direct reports.

**Regulatory compliance**:

- Ensure compliance with national and international transportation regulations (customs, safety, environment). Transport regulation rules and “capacitaire transport certification

**\uD83D\uDC49 MUST HAVE skills**:

- Significant experience (8 years) in a similar role, within an e-commerce company or a major logistics player, with strong exposure to last-mile delivery challenges internationally.
- In-depth expertise in transportation operations and associated legislation.
- Strong negotiation skills and contract management abilities with carriers.
- Developed analytical capabilities, proficiency in performance monitoring tools (KPIs, dashboards).
- Proficiency in specific transportation IT tools (TMS) and logistics information systems.
- Proven leadership, ability to unite teams and manage complex projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer-oriented and able to understand consumer expectations regarding delivery.
- Responsiveness and ability to work in a dynamic and constantly evolving environment.
- Fluent in English and French is a mandatory requirement, Spanish is a plus.
