**Who we are**

Genomines is a young biotechnology company based in Paris and Saclay, specialized in sustainable extraction of Nickel from plants. Our Team has already been active for 2 years, focussing mainly on research and development. The mission of Genomines is to usher in a new era of sustainable mining by using genetically enhanced plants to extract metals from soil (Agromining). Through synthetic biology and cutting-edge technology, we harness the power of nature to create bioengineered plants that can extract metals while decontaminating soils and creating cleaner lands for agriculture. Our ultimate goal is to become the world's first carbon-neutral mining group, using sustainable and environmentally friendly methods to extract the precious resources our society needs.

**What We're Looking For**

**Role**

This role requires agility, immense rigor, and adaptability. Depending on priorities, the Chief of Staff coordinates the preparation of board meetings, executive committee meetings, and management committee meetings. They filter the topics to be brought to the CEO's attention, handle internal and external communications, act as a representative for their supervisor, and establish connections with other managers in the company.A good Chief of Staff may not necessarily be an expert in all these disciplines but can leverage their extensive experience to work in an interdisciplinary manner.

**Here are the main areas they will be involved in**:

- ** Consulting**:As a neutral person without hierarchical ties to other managers, you will act as a consultant to help other leaders make the best decisions to achieve the executive management goals
- **
Strategy**: You will provide ongoing operational support to the CEO and also contribute to the overall company strategy, drawing on your solid internal knowledge. You can contribute to the generation and creation of key performance indicators (KPIs) and track their progress
- **
Information Management**:You must understand the issues and expectations of each individual to ensure effective transmission and sharing of information. You will be one of the most well-informed individuals in the company and will need to ensure smooth internal communication with executive members, clients, and partners
- **
Operations**:Your tasks will adapt to the company's existing strengths and the CEO's agenda. You will play an exploratory role in evaluating new business ideas and participate in structuring new teams. Depending on the company's needs, you may also contribute to financial analysis and occasional HR missions

The Chief of Staff must fulfill several main tasks, all aimed at improving the efficiency of time management, information, and decision-making processes.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead and manage strategic projects of the company
- Monitor and track the overall performance of the company
- Define target processes and, if necessary, deploy tools to optimize performanceIdentify and define recruitment needs
- Participate in strategic topics such as fundraising, acquisitions, etc

**Education & Background**:

- You have a degree from a top business or engineering school
- You have a minimum of 3 years of experience in strategy consulting firms, M&A or other highly analytical jobs
- Previous experience in a Chief of Staff role, preferably in a biotechnology company or a fast-growing startup
