Senior Vendor Manager Consumables, Eu Household

Experience in vendor account management, project management, consulting.
- Bachelor degree in economics, management, business engineering.
- English and French fluency with strong written and verbal communication skills (Spanish, German or Italian are nice to haves).
- Strong business judgement with a track record of successful relationship management and people management skills.
- Negotiation skills, analytical skills, bias for action, ownership, project management skills and A to Z business understanding are required.
- Enthusiastic and team player spirit.
Amazon is looking for a talented, proactive and customer-obsessed professional to drive the development of the Household category across Europe, where the company is placing high focus. The role will be based in Paris, France, and will involve working in a very international environment with the equivalent teams in other countries.
The role will comprise building and managing pan-European strategic relationships with vendors while driving effective negotiations, and jointly developing category growth on Amazon. Furthermore, you help defining the vision and business strategy for the Household category while driving cross-category projects to improve consumer experience when purchasing Household goods on Amazon. Additionally, you will be a key member of the EU Household Vendor Management Team.
It will be a very innovative role as this category is still in its early days, requiring high levels of creativity and agility, constant thinking out of the box, and being capable of managing one of the most complex businesses.
Key job responsibilities
- define the vision and business strategy for the category, including North Star metrics and KPI’s
- Act as the ‘business owner’, managing category P&L
- Build & manage strategic relationships with vendors while driving effective negotiations
- Deliver selection growth and monitor product availability & pricing
- Lead cross-functional teams and projects
- Innovate & simplify processes for superior customer experience
- Conduct in-depth analysis to meet and exceed revenue and profitability targets
- Be an ambassador and develop a thorough understanding of the industry, macro trends and future trajectory
- Relevant commercial category experience.
- Experienced in consulting, dynamic or start up type environments a plus
- Experience with SQL
