Summary

Allegro Microsystems is seeking a Snr Process Engineer in Grenoble to ensure the quality and functionality of TMR (Tunnel Magneto Resistance) sensor products. This role involves overseeing production and test processes (electrical and magnetic), optimizing wafer yields and throughput, and supporting the development of new TMR products. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams both locally in Grenoble and across international sites, maintaining strong collaborations with foundries and suppliers.

What You’ll Do- Monitor and control all stages of the wafer manufacturing process.- Schedule, track, and document process steps and wafer stock in Grenoble (R&D and production).- Maintain detailed tracking systems and split tables to trace wafer history and integration paths.- Supervise etching equipment: ensure uptime, monitor performance, and track wafer throughput.- Plan and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of etching tools, ensuring adequate spare parts inventory.- Troubleshoot etch-related anomalies and contribute to root cause analysis and resolution.- Continuously improve production processes including wafer integration, magnetic device patterning, and sensor device programming.- Develop and optimize etching processes for new TMR product introductions.- Execute R&D wafer lots and analyze resulting electrical, magnetic, and process data.- Communicate technical findings and progress effectively to multidisciplinary teams.

What You Will Bring- Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or a related field.- Solid understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes.- Hands-on experience with wafer processing, particularly etching.- Familiarity with magnetic/electrical test methodologies is a strong plus.- In-depth knowledge of materials science and solid-state physics.- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation of experimental results.- Experience working with cleanroom equipment and process monitoring systems.- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional and multicultural teams.- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.- Proficiency in English is required; French is a plus.
