IT Desktop Support Engineer

**Job Summary**:
We are looking for an experienced IT Desktop / End User Support Engineer to provide technical assistance to our users. The role involves troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues, ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations, and delivering excellent customer service.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Provide first and second-level technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues for end users.
Manage user accounts, access rights, and passwords in Active Directory.
Provide support for remote users via VPN and remote desktop tools.
Escalate complex technical issues to higher-level support when necessary.
Maintain IT asset inventory and ensure compliance with company policies.
Document incidents, resolutions, and user guides in the IT knowledge base.
Assist with IT projects, upgrades, and rollouts as required.
**Requirements**:
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in desktop/end-user support or helpdesk roles.
Familiarity with Active Directory, Office 365, and basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA, or similar).
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Customer-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail.
Fluency in English and French is mandatory.
**Preferred Skills**:
IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, or ITIL Foundation.
