Hydro Building Systems is seeking a Plant Manager for its production site dedicated to SAPA Brand. The position will be based in Puget sur Argens, in France, close to St Raphael (French Riviera).

With more than 1000 employees in France, the Hydro group is the world leader in aluminum solutions. We work from the design to the distribution of aluminum systems (windows, railings, sliding doors, etc.) for the building industry through our various commercial brands Technal, Wicona and Sapa covering different segments in the market.

Reporting to Vice-President Operations, the Plant Manager will be exposed to numerous internal and external stakeholders from all functions. Being in charge of the site with 150 employees, the Plant manager leads and manages all resources in the manufacturing facility and assures that the operation is working profitably to provide products that consistently meet or exceed expectations in terms of quality and service, with maximum return on assets. Puget site includes warehouses, paint line, value-added activities workshop and logistics/transportation functions.

The plant manager is in charge of the areas of logistics, sourcing, manufacturing, EHS, Quality and supply chain. Sales and support functions are located in Puget, however reporting to central management.
- Main responsibilities:_
- Plans, organizes and manage all plant site functions to successfully meet both short and long-term business objectives
- In charge of all industrial production activities: lacquering workshop, value-added activities (jointing, filming, film coating), as well as logistics activities (reception, automatic warehouse, shipments), and maintenance of site facilities.
- Leads the successful deployment of our EBS strategies (operational excellence)
- Ensures an environmentally safe and efficient manufacturing operation
- Develops the local team in terms of operational excellence skills
- Ensures compliance with all government, EHS and labor regulations as required
- Responsible for key balance sheet items, including property, plant and equipment; inventory
- Provides leadership to all functional and service groups to meet customer requirements, and drive performance to achieve or exceed financial plans and strategic goals
- Increase technical performance while developing communication and synergy between production, logistics and sales teams
- Develops good relationships with employee’s representative on site and leads monthly work council meetings
- Qualifications :_
- Engineering background, Bac + 5 or equivalent experience, you rely on solid knowledge of mechanics/process and benefit from a strong industrial culture acquired in Metallurgy
- Lean manufacturing background (Green or Yellow belt) will be a plus
- 5 to 10 years of experience as an industrial site manager or production manager with management of several workshops
- French and English speaker (fluent)
