You will be part of the Scent Creation, Design & Innovation team, more specifically in a department in charge of digital transformation with Scent. The position is based in Neuilly-sur-Seine.

As a Data Scientist, you will create and improve IFF creative toolset. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary environment constituted of other data scientist, engineers and Scent Creative teams. This position will bring scientific rigor and digital approach to the challenges of fragrance creation.

Where You’ll Make a Difference- Develop the data science capability within the Scent Creation Design and Innovation department.- Contribute to the development of new tools to accelerate and enhance Fragrance Creation (beta version models).-
- Research and develop analysis, optimization methods to generate competitive insights and formulate into actionable knowledge.- Explore potential areas where data science should be deployed over IFF.- Identify potential challenges or risks and provide the information to stakeholders.-
- Build and prototype analysis pipelines iteratively to provide insights at scale. Develop comprehensive knowledge of IFF data structures and metrics, advocating for changes needed for fragrance development.

What Makes You the Right Fit- Master’s degree in Machine Learning, applied mathematics or computer science (Grandes Ecoles preferred).- Excellent algorithmic and programming skills (Python mandatory) - Mandatory knowledge of graphs both programmatically (GNN for analysis & generation) and algorithmically (Dijkstra, Bellman, maximum flow, Ford & Fulkerson, community detection, ).- You are ease with ML/MLOps Ecosystem for Python (Polar, UV, Pydantic, FastAPI, scikit-learn)- You know how to translate a business problem into a model and an algorithmic strategy.
