**High-level Mission**:
You own finance and legal at Upflow, preparing us for Series B and beyond. You report directly to Alex, our CEO, and work hand in hand with all teams, ensuring compliance with our corporate processes but also embodying the modern finance team we’re pushing forward at Upflow.

Upflow is incorporated in the US, and has an operational subsidiary in France. The role is global, and you deal with international topics on a daily basis.

**Detailed Mission**:
As a finance director of a fast-growing 50 people organization, your missions include:

- ** Strategic Internal reporting**: You use our finance data to inform the business and support our strategic decisions (Unit economics, CAC, LTV, cash burn multiple, etc.).
- ** FP&A**: You create, manage and enforce budgets. You help team managers build budgets and use them as an enabler, not as constraints. At a global level, you maintain our business plans and forecasts.
- ** Business Partner**: You act as a true business partner for the management team, you help improve the efficiency of our existing revenue streams and identify optimisation levers.
- ** Investor relationships**: You work closely with the CEO office (CEO, Chief of Staff) on the investor reporting and ad hoc analysis for them. You manage our level of burn, runway, and anticipate our next capital requirements.
- ** Finance Ops**: You're responsible for structuring our finance stack, with one goal in mind: scaling and preparing Upflow to go to IPO. You make sure our finance grows in line with our target.
- ** Accounting and Auduiting**: You manage our accounting firms in France and the US, running off our own Netsuite for audit and scaling. Our accounting workforce is externalized for now, but you anticipate a future in-house team. You coordinate their efforts and seek help from our tax and legal advisors when needed. You also manage the relationship with our auditors for statutory and consolidated financials.
- ** Upflow Product and User Advocate**: We use Upflow at Upflow, of course You and your team are the first users of our product, you’re the voice of our users. You give regular feedback to our product team and act as a power user of the Upflow product.
- ** Legal**: You work hand in hand with the business on legal topics, in particular relating to corporate and commercial topics. Your partner with our CISO on privacy requirements. You own the relationship with legal counsels, and you anticipate future part-time/in-house needs.
- ** Equity management**: Under the CEO’s supervision, you manage the cap table and all equity management topics (new grants, 409A valuation, etc).

In terms of **Management**, you currently have a nimble but highly efficient team of 2:

- A Finance Manager, supporting you in your day-to-day processes.
- An Administrative Manager, taking care of payroll, expenses, and trip policies.
