**JOB DESCRIPTION**

As Scientist in a CRO, you will oversee and direct activities of your team. You are solution oriented and you have a capacity to interact and build technical solutions to fit with client’s requests. Your team conducts experiments & services relating human cells models & assays development. The objective is to produce scientific design for answering to international customers’ needs and develop dedicated tests essentially for drug screening. In parallel, R&D activities focus on development of new in vitro and in vivo models & assays dedicated to Type 1 and 2 diabetes and metabolic diseases.

You will be responsible for leading and managing the scientific strategic direction, resource allocation and operational efficiencies of a team of scientists and technicians, including the day-to-day supervision and milestones achievements. You will have to present scientific results in front of our customers. You are rigorous, inventive, pragmatic and used to respect the assigned deadlines.

**Fonctions**
- To Manage a team of 3-4 peoples
- To conduct and elaborate experimental design and explore differnt scientific hypothesis,
- Experimental data analysis and interpret for conclusion elaboration and next steps anticipation
- To hear customer needs and translate it into scientific solutions
- To write synthetic scientific reports and present scientific data
- To be part of internal and external meeting for scientific resutls présentation
- To follow internal processes and be compliant with regulation and ethical conduct

**Responsabilities**
- Specific technical expertise in human cells, ideally in beta cells or cell types involved particularly in the areas of metabolic diseases,
- a PhD diploma with a relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training in stem cells, cardiovascular and assay development or a related field
- excellent leadership and management skills
- Synthesis spirit
- highly developed skills in establishing priorities, meeting deadlines whilst working under pressure by using initiative or resolving issues to complex problems and business requirements that require innovative solutions
- Experience in leading/managing research and projects
- Excellent knowledge or experience within the industrial pharmaceutical sectors would be highly regarded.
- Highly developed skills and/or experience to respect requirements imposed by customer management into a CRO would be very appreciated
- In vivo experimentation certification would also be very appreciated
- Solution oriented and not issue oriented
