**Role Description**:
As a Corporate Banking Analyst within the Western Europe Financial Institutions Group (FIG), you will play a crucial role in supporting our team’s efforts to deliver exceptional service and innovative financial solutions to our European FIG clients such as banks, insurance companies, asset managers and stock exchange operators.

Your responsibilities will involve:

- Collaborate with relationship managers and partner across teams to support client relationships, origination and execution across a diverse set of product areas
- Support the team in the development of corporate finance analysis, gaining exposure to a broad range of products including bonds, loans, leases, treasury solutions, FX and rates
- Work on live transactions and assist in the preparation of credit proposals and loan documents for new financing deals and credit renewals
- Develop an in-depth understanding of the FIG industry, and help support the growth aspirations and day-to-day banking requirements of our FIG clients
- Gain knowledge of market fundamentals and be able to make informed contributions on a broad array of financing strategies that address client’s specific needs
- Work closely with Capital Markets, Payment Solutions and Global Markets teams on client coverage and origination
- Provide support on ad-hoc tasks including KYC, pipeline tracking, company profiles and quarterly business reviews
- Prepare client pitches including relationship overview, credentials and peer analysis

**What we are looking for**:

- Educated to degree level (preferably in a numerical discipline such as economics or finance)
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills are required
- Proficient level of MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Meticulous attention to detail, diligence and conscientiousness
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Capable of working effectively both independently and with multiple teams/individuals

**Skills that will help (optional)**:

- Fluency in English is essential and a second European language a plus
