**Position Overview**:
We’re on the hunt for a highly skilled and passionate **Backend Developer** to join our amazing team in Paris. We're searching for not just a coder, but a **creative problem-solver** who can craft robust backend structures, ensuring the seamless, real-time operation and scalability of our edge-first data platform.

You’ll be working hand in hand with our Engineering team, reporting directly to the Backend Tech Lead. You'll maintain and advance our Kubernetes-orchestrated microservices, with a strong focus on automated testing, system reliability, and sustainable code quality.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable, and reliable backend systems in **Golang**.
- Work closely with the frontend and agent team to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
- Design and optimize **MongoDB** schemas and queries for maximum performance.
- Implement security and data protection measures.
- Develop and maintain **APIs (REST, GraphQL, gRPC)** using **Protocol Buffers** for efficient client-server communication.
- Build and maintain **Kafka-based event streaming** pipelines for asynchronous processing.
- Write and maintain comprehensive **unit and integration tests** to ensure code quality and system reliability.
- Collaborate in a team setting using **Agile methodologies** and **GitLab** for version control and CI/CD.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development practices.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- **Master in Computer Science or Engineering degree with 2+ years of experience** as a Backend Developer or similar role.
- **Deep Go expertise**: Strong understanding of concurrency patterns, goroutines, channels, and building performant distributed systems.
- Experience with **MongoDB, Kafka, Protocol Buffers**, and building scalable APIs (REST, GraphQL, gRPC).
- **Testing mindset**: Proven track record of writing comprehensive unit and integration tests—not as an afterthought, but as core to your development process.
