- Excellent programming skills in C++ and/or in Python
- Engineering background in Computer Science, Mathematics or related field
- Prior experience in projects involving at least one of the following domains:

- Algorithmic design, e.g. 3d vision, machine learning, numerical optimization, etc
- Software development, e.g. implementation, architecture, optimization, testing, porting on embedded platforms, etc
- Development operations, e.g. source code versioning, continuous integration & deployment, cloud computing, system administration, etc

**Motion Compensation**:
Due to the low level processing embeddedin pixels, an event based sensor is usually of a lower spatial resolution than a conventional image sensor. The cost of spatial resolution comes with a gain of temporal resolution. **The purpose of this internship is to build a simple demonstrator of this principle.** The simplest way to show this would be with motion compensation : the principle is to track an object in the events XYT space, with an estimate of its pose and velocity, each new event the object generates can be compensated for its displacement with respect to a reference initial position. The compensated event has shifted pixel coordinates which are then sub-pixel precise. Accumulating a large enough quantity of such compensated events in a histogram can lead to a sharper representation of the object than an accumulated slice of events.

One first iteration of a demo can be implemented with only one object in the field of view with a simple motion model, then depending on the time left, enriching the demo with more complex motions and multiple objects. The priority being to have a fluid demo showing the motion compensation principle and thus proving that a high temporal precision can compensate for a low spatial resolution.
