**Summary / Role Purpose**

Join the Ansys Customer Excellence team to partner with our customers to engineer what's ahead, solve their real-world engineering problems, deploy Ansys software in their design workflows, and grow Ansys’ business.

You will join a diverse team of global experts in a unique experience in support of the Ansys Discovery product and use your advanced-level engineering knowledge to provide technical pre-sales support, perform professional services, and help translate customer requirements into exciting new product features. You will be working within multi-disciplinary teams to advance your knowledge, experience, and business impact.

In this dynamic customer-facing role, you will have the opportunity to engage with industry-leading companies across the world to ensure technical and business success in the upfront simulation market.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
- Lead in execution of all technical activities throughout the sales opportunity lifecycle such as technical discovery, product presentations, and evaluations
- As a product expert in Ansys Discovery, interact with customers to understand their product design and digital transformation initiatives; analyze how to address customers’ requirements and articulate Ansys’ value proposition
- Contribute to sales enablement and business development initiatives to drive significant impact to product revenue
- Collaborate with the Ansys product development teams to translate customer requirements into exciting new technical product features
- Test new releases of Ansys products on industrial problems and provide feedback to Ansys product development teams
- Partner with Ansys field and product marketing teams to create exciting new content to drive lead generation and sales pipeline

**Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience**
- Required education and degree type: BS/MS/PhD in Mechanical/Aerospace/Electrical/Material Science Engineering or related field
- Required minimum years of professional experience in an engineering software environment: BS+ 3, MS+1 or PhD+0
- Demonstrated use of relevant Ansys software or knowledge of other commercial CAE, CAD, EDA, PLM software packages
- Solid understanding of numerical methods used in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
- Programming certifications in Python, C++, or similar
- Knowledge and practical experience with CAD-Embedded simulation tools
- Logical problem-solving, strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Fluent in writing and speaking English
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, possesses a sense of urgency
- Projects a professional image and demonstrates business acumen, driven to succeed
- Ability to travel domestically up to 25% of time

**Preferred Qualifications and Skills**
- 2-3 years of professional experience in a related role, such as engineering analysis and FEA/CFD simulation
- Demonstrated skills in writing and presenting in fluent Italian/French
