Overview
Silicon Labs is looking for a senior embedded software developer in Rennes, France.
As part of our protocol stack team, you will help create and extend our offering of LPWAN and proprietary stacks for the IOT. We count among our customers some of the most recognized and well-respected companies in the world, and innovators in IoT.

**Responsibilities**:
- Design, implement, and debug IOT protocol stacks. From MAC level (like 802.15.4) up to 6LoWPAN or RPL network routing and data models. Z-Wave and Matter environments is counted are a plus.- Work to improve testing infrastructure, validation process, and code reliability- Debugging technically demanding challenges and helping customers to succeed in their business- Providing ideas and innovations for making our products and working methods even more competitive and extraordinary- Lead and mentor less experienced engineers- Tune code for optimal resource utilization, reliability, performance, and energy efficiency- Give expert support to other teams where code interfaces with other layers.- Uphold a high standard of software quality
Skill/Experience- SW design and engineering experience as an embedded SW engineer- Good C language knowledge as well as Python- RTOS environment knowledge is also expected (FreeRTOS, Zephyr)- Knowledge about Z-Wave would make a significant difference- Ability and desire to contribute new ideas, build consensus, and drive tasks to completion- References of working successfully in embedded wireless or networking software projects especially: IEEE802.15.4 technologies, Mesh networking, LPWAN, LORA, Z-Wave, OpenThread, MATTER, 6LoWPAN- Experience in continuous integration and continuous testing processes (Jenkins)- Fluent written and spoken English- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Informatics Engineering, Computer Science, or similar- Knowledge about wireless digital, signal processing is counted as a plus- Knowledge of C++/C# or RUST is counted as a plus- Knowledge of Silicon Laboratories products or equivalent wireless SOC is also a plus
Education requirements:
Master level degree in Computer Science, Software, Embedded systems, Signal Processing or similar area with software focus.
