**European Equity Research - Telcos Analyst**
**Paris**
This role is deemed as a Controlled Function role under the Central Bank of Ireland Fitness and Probity Regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.
As a Barclays European Equity Research - Telcos Analyst, you will have exciting opportunity to be working within our European Equity Research Department supporting and contributing to the publication of outstanding, differentiated thematic, sector and company research. **Working Flexibly**
We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. **What will you be doing?**:
- Working with our Telcos team to become a top-rated thought leader in European Telcos equity research
- Developing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Learning to identify and analyse market, sector, corporate and/or economic data to help develop investment theses
- Helping produce insightful, value-added investment research and communicate views clearly to internal and external audiences
- Being collaborative with other members of the department to write broader thought pieces that may impact other sectors and attending industry conferences to build wider knowledge
- Challenging the established way of doing things and bring fresh ideas
- Thinking with the mindset of the team’s success and be an excellent team player
- Carrying yourself with the values that Barclays expects - we want a culture of inclusion, excellence, client service, achievement, and fun
**What we’re looking for**:
- Experience within a corporate environment, including Equity Research, Corporate Finance, Accounting, Consulting
- Solid financial modelling skills and an understanding of how to value companies and solid accounting /finance skills
- Excellent, demonstrable written English skills and Excel skills
**Skills that will help you in the role**:
- An enthusiasm to immerse themselves in the dynamics of the sector
- Value a cooperative mindset and/or willingness to work as a team player
- Be able to achieve excellence while maintaining good humour
- ACA or CFA accreditation
