**Head of Fire Engineering department**
- You will be working in the
- ** Fire Engineering department**, within the Group's innovation Services & Growth function.- You will be responsible for the fire eengineering department, which is in charge of:
- Delivering the key technologies to make Nexans a leading player in fire safety cables solution- Delivering and formalizing knowledge in that field
- Developing and managing expertise and skills in design in fire safety cables
- Contributing to the development and the innovation of fire safety cable & accessories products
- Providing fire safety testing services, accredited by COFRAC
- Providing technical support to the operations
- Monitoring/driving standardisation activities in the domain of fire safety at national and international levels
- The department manager will oversee the below responsibilities:
- People management (10 people): talent development, ensuring the development of competences and skills for such a pool of excellence, ensuring well being, motivation and dedication of the team
- Strategy: proposing projects and participating to project selection and roadmapping with focus on value creation and customer satisfaction
- To become a Nexans member at Sycabel level  Follow up of standardisation activities in the domain of fire safety being member of the Sycabel, AFNOR, CENELEC, IEC associations

**Required skills, know how & experience**
- PhD in the field of Fire science
- 10 years of successful experience in fire test R&D platform
- Strategic mindset
- Team management
- Ability to embark to work in matrix environment and embark teams to work on cross functional teams
- Project management
- Fluent in french & English
