**SUMMARY OF THE ASSIGNED DUTIES, INCLUDING GOALS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE POST**

The post reports directly to the Secretary General.

The incumbent is responsible for leading the setup, operational functioning of central police capabilities of the Organization, including the coordination of activities performed by the Regional Bureaus (RBs) and operational Liaison Offices, as well as outreach and technical assistance to National Central Bureaus (NCBs) with a view to supporting INTERPOL's strategic priorities and access to INTERPOL capabilities by duly authorized national entities and authorized users within them.

The incumbent will be required to manage complex issues of INTERPOL's law enforcement support capabilities under the direct supervision of the Secretary General.

The incumbent will be directly responsible for all staff of EDPC directorates and the Executive Office Sub-Directorate, as well as for managing the related financial resources, progress measuring and timely reporting to the Secretary General and INTERPOL governance bodies.

**PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ACTIVITIES**

**MISSION 1/DUTY 1: Police capabilities Oversight and Delivery**
- Lead/direct the daily operation and continuous enhancement of INTERPOL’s global policing capabilities, including databases, biometric services, secure global communication network, databases, analytical files, 24/7 command and coordination activities, wanted and missing persons, and other central investigative support tools;
- Ensure these capabilities are securely accessible, responsive, and aligned with Member Countries’ operational needs.;
- Ensure INTERPOL’s central police systems and services are effectively and efficiently operated;
- Identify new needs from INTERPOL operators, threat programmes and member countries’ users, to be fed into the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Directorate’s work to maintain, enhance and innovate INTERPOL’s central systems and services;
- In close cooperation with the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) directorate, oversee the roll out and adoption of case management systems;
- Lead the activities and develop appropriate mechanisms in monitoring and ensuring compliance with INTERPOL rules and regulations in the use of INTERPOL police support capabilities by relevant General Secretariat units and member countries’ authorized users;
- Provide leadership in the daily operations of INTERPOL 24/7 support and crisis management structures (Command and Coordination Centers) across relevant duty stations;
- Provide guidance and oversight to Director, Wanted and Missing persons, in the daily operational support by the directorate in the context of fugitives’ investigations and missing persons investigations;
- Ensure maintenance of robust knowledge management related to INTERPOL police capabilities operations, including progress measurement and timely reporting to internal and external stakeholders (Secretary General, Strategic Management Board, Executive Committee, General Assembly, Commission for the Control of INTERPOL Files);
- Support engagement efforts of prospective donors by EDPP to mobilize resources supporting the development of INTERPOL central police capabilities;
- Lead the delivery of new capabilities under the I-Core programme.

**MISSION 2/DUTY 2: Regional Law enforcement Outreach and coordination**
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of activities delivered through INTERPOL’s Regional Bureaus, Liaison Offices, and other in-region structures;
- Strengthen integration between the General Secretariat and regional INTERPOL platforms to ensure consistency of operations, policy, and support to National Central Bureaus and other national law enforcement agencies;
