Permanent contract Bordeaux (33) Position Duties Joining an existing team, your responsibilities would include: - Creating and programming our games and being able to solve problems that could deal with gameplay, IA, engine, network... in a Unity environment - Making critical decisions in the development and architecture of our software technology - Being responsible with optimization, documentation, cleaning code - Gameplay programming and working with designers to build a fun responsive and engaging universe. - Iterating over game design prototypes very quickly and not being afraid about looping back frequently. - Integrating our artist's work and actually building the game once the iteration is done. - Building big bosses and epic battles. - Doing the programming work that makes the player forget they're holding a controller. - Being prepared to work on a constraint environment (marketing and schedules) You'll need to have: - At least 3+ years of experience in the games industry with at least one shipped title in Unity (from preprod to launch) in technical programming roles. - A deep understanding of engine core but also a game feel sensibility - A deep understanding of the user experience (what makes a good game) - A proficient attitude and communication skills to work closely with the team - Confirmed experience with Unity (games, demos, references...) illustrating your game architecture step back ability, knowledge of good and bad practices, workflows etc. - Experience targeting multiple platforms, managing QA cycles and feedback and generally getting through certification with most of your hair intact. - Recent experience or knowledge with modern graphics rendering libraries and best practices - A real passion for video games Bonus points: - Being rigorous, you're an experienced programmer, nothing should get past you, you're detail orientated and like splitting hairs about the most efficient way to write every line. - Being resourceful and capable of working in autonomy - Someone who's not afraid of prototyping, being wrong and iterating, iterating, iterating... - Ability to work in a team. Concretely this means ; being able to accept when an argument doesn't go your way, stay motivated when working on someone else's ideas and generally integrating a team that is working on a project where many of the rules already exist. - English (at least B2) - Previous work experience in both indie and/or AAA studios - Bonus points for bringing cultural appreciation from other industries ; cinema, design, fashion...
