Customs Broker Agent

**Job Description**:
❑Prepare customs documentation and ensure that shipments meet all applicable laws to facilitate the import and export of goods.
❑Determine and track duties and taxes payable and process payments on behalf of client.
❑Coordinate transportation and storage of imported goods. Provide advice on transportation options, types of carriers, or shipping routes.
❑Obtain line releases for frequent shippers of low-risk commodities, high-volume entries, or multiple-container loads.
❑Sign documents on behalf of clients (using powers of attorney).
❑Post bonds for the products being imported or assist clients in obtaining bonds.
❑Insure cargo against loss, damage, or pilferage.
❑Contract with freight forwarders for destination services.
❑Accountable for accurate and timely declaration.
❑Responsible to ensure all customs queries are resolved prior any demurrage/storage.
❑Ensure all documents are submitted timely to customs for audit.
❑Periodical training / updates on the customs matters.
❑Obtain necessary information, guideline from respective governmental department and suggest solutions for any new initiative related to customs matter.
**Job Requirements**:
❖Graduate of any discipline.
❖Must have confident personality as well as an exceptional work.
❖Minimum of 1 year of progressive experience in customs declaration matter within the freight forwarding industry.
❖General knowledge of various local and International shipping and freight forwarding practices is an advantage.
❖Combined excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong ability to analyse situations and to make good decisionsbased on available information.
❖Ability to adapt quickly to changing policies and procedures.
❖Knowledge in SAP, ERP systems, computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite will be an added advantage.
