Customs Agent – UK Operations

31,000 – 33,800 € gross annual salary (13th month included)
€8.50 meal vouchers | 60% employer-paid health insurance
Working hours: 9h–12h / 13h30–17h30
+4 extra leave days for sick children
The Company
This is a European transport and logistics group with 400 employees and operations spanning France, Germany, Switzerland, Hungary, and the UK. The company provides fast, high-quality freight and warehouse services through its own network of subsidiaries and trusted partners.
Your role: keep international shipments smooth and compliant. You'll handle UK-related customs paperwork from start to finish, assist during customs inspections, and make sure every box — literal and legal — is ticked. You'll work closely with the UK, so fluent English is essential.
Your day-to-day
- Prepare and submit import/export customs declarations
- Collect and verify all required transport and product documents
- Handle customs inspections alongside officers
- Support the customs manager with audits and reporting
- Liaise with clients, accountants, and customs services
- Monitor regulatory updates and ensure compliance
What We're Looking For
You've handled the
administrative and technical side of transport logistics
, ideally for 3 to 7 years. You can deal with paperwork, procedures, and software calmly and accurately, even when there's pressure. You're fluent in English, because you'll be speaking and writing it every day.
You Also
- Know your way around customs documentation
- Have worked in international trade or transport environments
- Are familiar with SAP or open to learning it
- Enjoy teamwork, and you're organised, adaptable, and detail-oriented
- Hold a BTS in International Trade or Transport (or equivalent experience)
