We’re a fast-moving, ambitious startup backed by deep industry insights and a relentless focus on quality. Now, we’re looking for our **first engineer**—a senior, hands-on builder who will shape the product, own the tech stack, and help define the future of Travelwise.

**The Role**

As our founding engineer, you’ll work directly with the founder to turn vision into reality. This is a **high-impact, high-ownership** role where you’ll build Travelwise from the ground up—designing scalable architecture, shipping beautiful user experiences, and making key technical decisions that set us up for long-term success.

**What You’ll Do**
- Architect, build, and launch core features across the full stack
- Define the technical roadmap and make key decisions on infrastructure, scalability, and security
- Own the entire development lifecycle—from idea to production
- Work closely with design and product to craft a seamless, premium user experience
- Lay the foundation for a high-performing engineering team

**What We’re Looking For**
- **5+ years of experience** as a full-stack or backend engineer
- Proven ability to **ship fast without sacrificing quality**:

- Strong expertise in **modern web frameworks, cloud infrastructure (AWS), and databases**:

- Experience with **scaling products** from early-stage to high growth
- A **bias for action**—you thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
- Passion for travel, startups, and building something that truly matters
