**What is the role?**:
We’re looking for a **Junior Backend Engineer** to join our team. You will be responsible for adding to our ever-growing suite of features and APIs, and executing our ambitious roadmap.

You’d be joining a team of highly talented engineers from all walks of life—grandes écoles, university grads, and self-taught wizards. Our engineers are ex machine learning scientists, data engineers, game developers, and devops specialists, bringing expertise from startups, scale-ups, and big tech giants

**What you'll do**:

- Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems across our engineering team. You will be developing and scaling these from the ground up.
- Own critical parts of the product and work self-directed. We're a small team of individual contributors, everybody has autonomy and responsibility.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, including our Product team.

**You may be a good fit if**:

- You've written high-quality code in object-oriented languages in the past. While experience in Go is a plus, we care more about your general engineering skillset than knowledge of a specific language.
- You have 2+ years experience designing and implementing highly scalable and reliable systems.
- You are fluent in English (no need to speak French).

**Backend — Go**: Providing best-in-class APIs to our eCommerce customers.

**Frontend — React, TypeScript**: Creating a beautiful user interface. We iterate on designs and don’t compromise until we have a great product.

**Infrastructure — GCP**: Maintaining a stable, secure fleet of servers.

**Tools**: Linear for issue tracking, Github as source control, Postman for API development, Slack for internal communication, and many others.
