Finance Associate

For our client, biotech group based in Valbonne, we looking for a Finance Associate

Under the supervision of the Financial Controller, the Finance Associate is leading annual budgets and Long Range Planning (LRP) processes and actively contributing to monthly closing and controlling activities for EU affiliates of the group.

Essential functions:

- Accounting part:

- Support for the accounting team for bookkeeping and general administration matters
- Participation in monthly closing and controlling activities such as payroll, research tax credit, estimate, accruals, tax calculation, US GAAP adjustment, etc.
- Monthly “budget vs actuals » analysis of company’s performance
- Report preparation in accordance with our internal control requirements (SOX)
- FP&A part:

- Build annual budgets and mid
- to long-term plans (3-5 years)
- Management of budget process:

- collect, analyze and challenge budget data from operational teams
- incorporate outcome in budget management system
- provide a comprehensive summary to management team
- Work with project manager, project leaders and department managers to:

- provide regular reporting by department and by R&D project to operating teams
- provide regular financial and business comments feeding monthly P&L analysis for management team.
- Leading process improvement initiatives would be highly appreciated.

**Profil**:

- Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Business School or University, specialized in Finance / Audit / Controlling
- 2-3 years of experience in audit
- Skills requirements- Strong Excel skills
- Advanced level of English required
- Good accounting and finance knowledge
